二、Characteristics of ceramic grade CMC
     The ceramic grade CMC of our company can be used in ceramic body , glazing paste and colored glaze silk printing to play such functions as strengthening ,water holding , binding, suspending and dilution, which will obviously improve quality of ceramic product and product’s glaze.
     ZHOU CMC produced by our company can be quickly dissolved , with its solution’s high transparency and good rheological property.
三、Application and adding amount of ceramic grade CMC
  1、CMC added in ceramic body can enhance its plasticity and body intensity . Compared to other strengthening agents, CMC’s advantages are little adding amount (1/3-1/4) and no ashes and residue.
  2、CMC added in glazing paste can play such functions as water holding , binding, suspending and dilution, which will prevent the solution sedimentation, control the paste’s rheological property, improve glaze adhesion , reduce glaze cracking ,form a smooth dense glaze layer. The adding amount of CMC in general glazing paste is about 0.08-0.12% generally. Antiseptic should be added if the paste stored for a long time.
  3、Using in colored glaze: ZHOU brand ceramic grade CMC can be used as carrier of glazing in printing glaze for CMC’s function of thickening , dispersing and its viscosity.
四、Application methods
  1、Adding in ceramic body : dissolved CMC is mixed with mud in ball mill.
  2、 Adding in glazing paste: dissolved CMC is mixed with glazing
  3、 Adding in colored glaze: add CMC in ethylene glycol or glycerine , stir quickly while adding water , then mix with glazing, or use colloidal mill and emulsification machine to help dissolve.
